No, but someone must be designated to act on your behalf to release or receive from driver. An inspection is completed upon pickup and drop off. The designated person is responsible to sign off on the condition of the vehicle upon pick up and drop off. In the event of damages, all damages must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. Therefore it’s imperative for you or the designated person to be present and receive the vehicle.
